Company Background
Located on a 3-acre campus, Germain Racing has two buildings which include 52,000 square feet of shop and office space, paint and body shops, and a chassis dyno. To keep all functions of Germain Racing is a NASCAR racing team that has collected two championship titles, 22 victories and 9 pole awards since joining the NASCAR ranks in 2004.
Project Background
Germain Racing’s race shop needed a commercial-grade epoxy floor coating that would provide a professional environment, durability, a clean working surface, chemical resistance, and protect against other typical automotive issues.

Strategies/Challenges
Along with meeting specific qualifications, the challenge was to find a floor coating system that would have a quick turnaround time and provide a brighter and more professional environment. Germain Racing’s automotive shop was going to be for fabrication and its floors would have to withstand welding, cutting sheet metal, metal shavings being scratched across the floor, metal sparks impacting the coating, tools dropping on the ground, and other hazards.
Results/Solutions
Germain Racing chose UCoat Medium Gray with UGloss-AF topcoat which provided a clean surface while still looking professional. The installed system had enhanced the flooring dramatically and provides all the needs Germain Racing wanted. UGloss-AF is designed specifically for the automotive industry which made choosing it the best option.
