Each year UCoat It exhibits at various tradeshows throughout the United States, speaking with thousands of attendees. So as begin our 2023-24 tradeshow season we thought we would put together a blog of some of the most common questions asked to UCoat It at tradeshows.
UCoat It offers many types of floor coating products like waterbased epoxy, high build epoxy, metallic epoxy, urethanes, polyaspartics, sealers and cementitious products. Most of our customers purchased UCoat It offers several types of floor coating systems depending on the area, requirements of the area and budget.
The average UCoat It floor coating system costs between 50¢ to $2.50 a square foot depending on the floor coating system. Some of our popular systems like our UCoat with UFlek-AF starts at 90¢ a square foot or UClad-LV system which costs about 80¢ a square foot.
When pouring new concrete, the suggested cure time is 30 days. After 30 days, to prep the surface just complete an acid wash ( 1 part muriatic acid to 7 parts water) or you can use our UPrep-CLC to neutralized the alkalinity in the concrete.

Depending on the system and the usage of the surface typical longevity for medium to high traffic areas is 6-10 years. Keep in mind the better maintenance program your facility has, the longer the longevity of the coating system.
UCoat It offers a lifetime warranty against peeling, blistering and “hot” tire pick over a properly prepared surface. What makes most UCoat It system unique is our UCoat water based product which is applied to a wet/damp concrete surface. If water penetrates the surface UCoat will penetrate the surface locking in to the substrate creating a lasting bond.

Metallic epoxy is a special multi-layered epoxy floor coating system that incorporates the use of a metallic additives that are mixed into a clear epoxy coating to create exotic effects. This metallic powder continues to move through the epoxy as it cures creating the lava flow or marble pearlescent design.
