The UCoat with UFlek-AF system is three coat system featuring our two coats of our UCoat water based epoxy, a light to medium broadcast of our UFlek decorative flakes and one coat of our UGloss-AF solvent based polyurethane top coat. This system is great for medium to high traffic areas as the system will provide a decorative, high gloss finish hiding minor imperfection in the substrate, while maintaining a chemical and abrasion resistant surface.

Bond and Base Coat:
UCoat is a multi-component waterbased epoxy that is easy to apply and provides excellent penetration and adhesion while providing a satin to semi gloss finish.
Top Coat:
A two component, solvent based urethane that exhibits a high gloss finish and performs against the harshest chemicals.
Alternative Top Coats:
Water Based Aliphatic Urethane
UGlaze is a water based urethane that is virtually odor-free and non-flammable. Applies milky white and dry clear, making it easy to apply.
High Solids Polyaspartic
A two-component, high-solids polyaspartic clear topcoat engineered for superior chemical resistance, UV stability, abrasion resistance, and surface hardness.

Some of the benefits of using a waterbased system is that it is odor free, non-flammable. Allowing for use in spaces that restrict any strong odors, areas that may absorb smells like food or some fabrics, also areas that may be restricted by flammability like boiler and furnace rooms.
The UCoat system is available in 12 standard colors and 2 safety colors. Lighter and safety colors may require additional materials to ensure proper coverage.

Yes, the UCoat system provides chemical resistance against oil, gas, brake fluid and more. Stronger chemicals may blemish the coating due to long chemical exposure.
UCoat is excellent for wood surfaces (car trailers, attic floors, sheds). Due to the porosity additional material may be required for proper coverage.
Decorative flakes can be added but a clear top coat should be applied to ensure flakes are sealed preventing the collecting of dirt, liquids be absorbed in, discoloring the decorative flakes.
No, the standalone UCoat system is not uv stable but you may add a top coat like our UGlaze waterbased aliphatic urethane or our UGlaze-84 polyaspartic which provide excellent uv stability.
