Originally tiled, the staff needed a durable and smooth surface for efficiency purposes. The challenge was to find a floor coating system that fulfilled their specific needs while being quick and easy to install. A coating was needed that could be applied over tile while creating a high enough build to smooth out the surface below. In addition, this floor coating also needed to protect against contaminants and fungal growth while maintaining a professional appearance.

Results/Solutions

The solution was found in UCoat It’s UClad-LV system. Being a high-build epoxy system, UClad-LV is specifically designed to increase floor thickness while filling in grout with multiple coats, which is exactly why this particular system was recommended. After applying several coats of this system in the Medium Grey color, UGlaze was applied as a top coat. One of the benefits of UGlaze is the anti-microbial characteristics which chemically eliminates micro-organisms and resists bacteria and fungal growth, perfect for their kitchen environment. The end result was a fresh-looking, high-performance kitchen floor.
